Well... the thing is, in Star Wars Revenge of the Sith, Anakin Skywalker, who is widely considered the best pilot in the galaxy, definitely Does Not know how to fly the flaming, disintegrating remains of the cruiser they're flying. They make a point of this when Obi-Wan asks him if he knows how to fly the ship, and Anakin is basically like lol, nope. All he manages to do is crash land the ship and only cause minimal damage (aka knocking over a control tower).

(That line he says, "under the circumstances I'd say the ability to fly this thing is irrelevant" is one of my favorite lines in Star Wars!)
