I used Steinbach paper and MQ color pencils to first make a base over paper, which made me come to this conclusion that drawing on paper first before editing it digitally gives me the best results. (I'm still not that experienced when it comes to painting with different digital brushes, so I need a base.)

She looked like this at first.

I really like the coloring with the new colored pencils! I think it's good to get well practiced in traditional art before digital art. Kind of like how in dance it's good to get a handle on ballet before you do contemporary or hip hop or whatever, and in music it's good to get a solid foundation in classical music first because then all other styles seem easy in comparison.

This is a really pretty drawing. I like the effect of the light on his hair and eyes. He has a very interesting expression. To me, it seems as if he's thinking, "I know I should stop getting into these situations, but they're so entertaining, I just can't help myself". You blended the colors for the hair well, and I think it is a good match for the eye color.
