Use this thread for jokes and memes that do NOT relate to Tolkien.

Keep things appropriate or we'll have to sick Grond on you ;)

It has been done here (in Phoenix) quite a few times.
The sidewalk, or especially asphalt**, gets much hotter than ambient [air] temperature.

** In case anyone is wondering, NO, the eggs are not eaten after they are cooked on the sidewalk or asphalt. 🙄 *sigh*
Cool! I was wondering because it's hot enough here (also around 100F) that my feet get burned if I walk barefoot on the sidewalk, but I've never tried frying an egg.
Also, why don't you eat the egg? I would have thought that the asphalt would give it a nice gritty texture...

Not surprised you burned your feet.
If the ambient temp is 115F, the concrete or asphalt, or even the desert "sand" can easily reach at least 150F (170F is not atypical) by the hottest part of the day (3-4PM). If bare flesh contacts something that hot for even a few minutes, you're looking at 3rd degree burns.
By way of comparison 212F is the temp of boiling water.
