fellowship of the ring

Yesterday night I was lucky enough to view one of the sessions of Double LotR ( FotR and TTT one after the other with a ten minute interval in between ) in the movies. This gave me the opportunity to see whether or not the films flow into each other well, or if TTT was introduced well enough...

This is just a place for all people who were introduced to the books through the movies to come to. Any funny stories, know-it-all incsidents when you were totaly wrong can all go here. I myself thought that 'Lurtz' was Sauron at first, and was really happy when he was killed.

FOTR or TTT's soudtrack I have FOTR's soundtrack and TTT's soundtrack.Which do you like more? Why?I personally prefer FOTR's soundtrack.;) :p

Which one did you like better overall?

Fellowship of the Ring meaning the 9 companions. Frodo was obviously the First. But actually Bilbo volunteered. "Bilbo the silly started this whole thing and Bilbo ought to finish it, or himself". At the End of the Council of Elrong only TWO had been picked. Frodo and his faithful...

I know this may be a tough question, but I'm looking for the song that plays during the new set of "Charter Members of the LotR fan club" credits in the Extended version of the movie. Does anyone know what it's called, or where I can get it? I've looked for it on the net all over the place...

whats the deal with this extended version of FOTR and the easter egg and TTT trailor?? i've heard a great deal about it (doesn't that sound like a line from LOTR?) and i'm not sure what it is. what is this easter egg thing?

when you watched FOTR, what parts of it made you the most emotional?? first of all, whenever i watch it i get major goosebumps. i always cry at the ford of bruinen (spelling?) when arwen takes him off of the horse. i also cry when gandalf falls. OM gosh, that part is so sad (even though i know...

Hi all, Sorry if this has been discussed before- I don't visit here often these days, and was not able to find this topic by searching. But did anyone else notice TTT's re-ordering of Gandalf's famous (among us Tolkien fans, anyway :)) speech to the Balrog? I saw the film three times, and...

you know in FOTR when gandalf rides to find information on the ring after telling frodo to "keep it secret, keep it safe???" where exactly is gandalf when he finds all the info? one of my friends thought it was minas tirith but i don't think he would ride all of the way to minas tirith to find...
