Are 🧝Legolas from 'The Fall of Gondolin' and 'the' Legolas the same?

Why wouldn't it be? What else amongst the Stars of Time (see what I did there?) could it possibly connote?

Here's something interesting: if you look up at the stars. you're actually looking back in time. It's a concept called "lookback time".
That concept fascinates me, that we're looking at the past.

C = speed of light = 186,000 miles/second
Our own Sun is 93,000,000 miles away. So even a star as close as the sun we see as it was 8 minutes in the past.
How intriguing Time is indeed! No wonder Námo himself is! Technically, upon the skies we ne'er live in the Present!

Convert that to km:

Speed of light = 3x10^8 m/s
Our own Sun is 1.5x10^8 km away, which corresponds to 1 AU, and thus 8.3 minutes approximately.

Indeed. Even with our own Sun and Moon, we're not looking at where they ARE, but where they WERE.
Now we factor that into all the calculations of our rockets taking off with an intent to land on the moon, or those that travel farther like to look at Mars, etc... and need to understand where they 'will be' when we get there, not where we think they are from a visual perspective, etc.
Ent's brain is boggled.

The Legolas in LOTR was born early in the 3rd Age. His birth year is given in the "Tale of Years."
May we have the actual reference? There are about a dozen mentions of Legolas in the "Tale of Years", if you're referring to Peoples of Middle Earth, but I don't remember a birth year of Legolas ever being stated.
What is clear is that this Legolas is an elf of Mirkwood, the son of Thranduil, and bears no connection to Legolas of Gondolin (who in BoLT2 is described as sailing to Tol Eressea at the end of the First Age)
