Mystery on the lotr official website.

What is the meaning of this?

Does anybody have an idea on what this could mean?

I haven't yet heard about this website, and it doesn't seem to be anything official (concerning the books or movies) despite owning a domain, that sounds very official. When I skipped through previous versions of the website on the Internet Archive it seemed to have been advertising a stage play adaptation of the Lord of the Rings but at many points in time it also just said "Website coming soon" and there was never a lot of content. Kevin Wallace Ltd. was listed as the owner of the website and there is a stage play of the Lord of the Rings written by a Kevin Wallace but its website is https://kevinwallace.co.uk/performance/

No idea, why the lotr.com domain isn't used and just has a space filler. Maybe it has something to do with Middle-Earth Enterprises since the stage play is produced under their license.

From what I read from someone who did a deep dive into the site's code, the password box doesn't actually go anywhere and seems to be a placeholder so you could put anything in and right now it won't go anywhere.
