Second-guessing and Misunderstanding Tolkien

Also, I don't find your grammar to be very phenomenon.

"Is Turin Turambar the greatest and most phenomenon character in all world literature, all fantasy literature, all the universe and all fictional universes?"

Had he married Naltariel then surely he'd be in second place. In other words: almost!

;)

I'm not sure who I'd be more scared for if such ever had come to be.

I'm thinking If Tolkien had independently conceived a “Rings of Power” from the start, without being required to continue The Hobbit, the story might have looked quite different. It might have even fit with some of the rest of the Legendarium, who knows?

But what we did get is remarkable precisely because of that tension: the fusion of a children’s tale with a vast mythic world produced something uniquely powerful. I suspect that is why we continually read and learn from it all. It is a life time of learning to be had without question. And for that I am quite grateful.

Somehow, this is not an AI question.
It actually is a valid question. Up until Boromir's death, Aragorn seriously considered the possibility of going with Frodo into Mordor. Had he done so, issue of entering Mordor certainly will have come up - I doubt Gollum would have been willing to "help", plus Aragorn likely will have seen through Gollum's lies about the "hidden path".
‘It would indeed be a betrayal, if we all left him,’ said Aragorn.‘But if he goes east, then all need not go with him; nor do I think that all should. That venture is desperate: as much so for eight asfor three or two, or one alone. If you would let me choose, then Ishould appoint three companions: Sam, who could not bear it otherwise; and Gimli; and myself. Boromir will return to his own city, where his father and his people need him; and with him the othersshould go, or at least Meriadoc and Peregrin, if Legolas is not willingto leave us.’

I watched the film in a verrrrrrrry
old theater, so this is what I saw!

Why Thorin Oakenshield was made SO ...
