Game Instructions

New game! Each comment should contain a song title that starts with the next letter alphabetically. So this being the first post I'll post one that starts with A, then the next post would be a song title that starts with B, and so on. Obviously please keep the language within forum rules, once we hit Z the next post would just start with A again. The only real rule is that it's the title that has to start with A not the artist, so when we get to X, etc, have fun trying to come up with one :).

For example, to start my A is Foo Fighters - All My Life next post would be a song that starts with B.

Please make sure you’re posting in alphabetic order. Look at the title of the previous post’s song before posting the next one.

Did we skip G? No worries :) but I agree I’ve learned of some great artists from this.

No relation… though they absolutely stole my name, filched my lunch money, and once tried to recruit me into their Sunshine Cult without so much as offering a complimentary pair of glow-in-the-dark socks.

Truth is, I only found out about their “Klaatu” after a brief misunderstanding at a galactic customs checkpoint. Apparently the inspectors thought I was the one responsible for releasing that cosmic falsetto ripple across the Orion Spur back in ’76. I had to explain—patiently, and while wearing my “I Do Not Sing Professionally” badge—that I was busy teaching neutron stars how to yodel that year.

Still… decent track. Needs more didgeridoo forged in the mantle of a rogue planet, but what doesn’t?

Anyways, here’s M: Mysterons by Portishead

A fitting track for when the cosmic fog rolls in and all the streetlamps hum in minor keys. The Mysterons themselves—lovely people, despite the glowing eyes—used to play this through their hover-tea kettles while drifting over the dunes of Mars’ secret third moon. Perfect for brooding, plotting, or contemplating why gravity feels a little optional today.
