Aye, the only redshirt that never dies. Also Scotty,McCoy,Spock and Kirk are my favorites ,although I find it hard to choose between them.
They're all good... but I guess McCoy is my fav (realistic fav, in that right now I'd like to have him for my regular doctor😄).Aye, the only redshirt that never dies. Also Scotty,McCoy,Spock and Kirk are my favorites ,although I find it hard to choose between them.
Agreed Spock and Dr. McCoy are my definite favorites If I think about it, like when McCoy says “I’m a doctor Jim, not a bricklayer”. LOTR and Star Trek are two of the things I am obsessed with. They're all good... but I guess McCoy is my fav (realistic fav, in that right now I'd like to have him for my regular doctor😄).
He's down to earth, no-nonsense, not afraid to tell you (as a dear friend commonly puts it), "how the cow ate the buckwheat".
I could be mistaken but doesn't McCoy com from a rural southern background?
And recalling my younger self as a kid and teenager and even as a young adult he would have made a great "father-figure."
Also (from Wikipedia, but I knew about his marriage long before Wikipedia existed):
Kelley married former actress Carolyn Charlotte Meagher Dowling in 1945, exchanging two 25-cent Indian rings. They met in 1942 when both were actors in a play and remained married for nearly 55 years until Kelley's death, living in a humble one-story ranch house in Sherman Oaks, California. The couple, who had no children, "were the most loving couple you've ever seen in your life," said Star Trek's Majel Barrett.
Married to same person for 55 years until death.... now that is awesome indeed. 😍
Anything ST or just Star Trek TOS and the movies with the [more-or-less] original TOS Cast?Agreed Spock and Dr. McCoy are my definite favorites If I think about it, like when McCoy says “I’m a doctor Jim, not a bricklayer”. LOTR and Star Trek are two of the things I am obsessed with.
Deep Space Nine, TOS, The Next Generation are the ones I have seen and the ones I like the most. I have seen the first movie of TOS when they were young and enjoyed it, but the actual series is my favorite. Also Janeway's series.Anything ST or just Star Trek TOS and the movies with the [more-or-less] original TOS Cast?
