I've seen a sign similar to the second one, nailed to a tree outside someone's gate, it read: 'Trespassers will be shot. Survivors will be shot again'. I highly doubt thay had many uninvited guests.

Seen that one too.
You know, those signs really are more effective than the "alarm company" signs because
1) with only an alarm , even with a camera a thief can easily hide his identity by wearing a face covering a some sort, and
2) It usually takes the police at least 10 minutes to show up because the alarm info is routed though the alarm company to the local authorities.
A thief can get a lot accomplished in 10 minutes., and be gone.

But that second sign.... well --with apologies to Dirty Harry-- he's going to ask himself if he's feeling lucky and that no one is right then taking a bead on him, and with a LASER, no less.
