The Tolkien Joke and Meme thread

(I made this one)

Celegorm: So just to be clear. Caranthir and Curufin exist yet mom decided to name me anger issues? Hm. Fascinating.
Also, they did come afterwards. Nerdanel thought Celegorm was quick to anger compared to Maedhros and Maglor. But then Caranthir came next and she was like 'Oh well. I'll just use physical traits from now on, personality can be judged too quickly...'

I mean, Celegorm might be the most impulsive, but Caranthir's temper is probably more severe.
Yeah, Tolkien said Caranthir was the "harshest" of all the brothers. Though I think Celegorm and Curufin did more evil deeds (mainly kidnapping Luthien...)

And the name "hasty riser" seems to imply more the quickness rather than the severity of the anger.

So, in summary:

Celegorm: gets mad the quickest
Caranthir: gets the most mad
Curufin: does the sneakiest evilest stuff

I'm going to be Autocorrect here and say it wasn't the Nazgûl who actually stormed the Prancing Pony. In the movies, they made it the case. But Aragorn lays out for us the Nazgûl would not take on an establishment full of people and light: "In dark and loneliness are they strongest; they will not openly attack a house where there are lights and many people... But their power is in terror, and already some in Bree are in their clutch. They will drive these wretches to some evil work..."

Autocorrect out! ✌️
