Is there the slightest chance of derailing this Finwë mono-culture?
Maybe that book of my wife's about Goya, especially those pictures of the horrific Peninsular War between France and Spain from 1808-1814 ...
... fits the Fëanorians perfectly, at any rate ... 🤔

Is there the slightest chance of derailing this Finwë mono-culture?

Afraid not. 😁
At any rate, I've posted artwork of a variety of Tolkien's characters. Many are from the house of Finwë, but by no means all.

Huan? I know it's not a cute kitty thing, more than enough of those ...

Not looking likely in my books anytime soon. 😉

I’ve always imagined Huan as an Irish Wolfhound. While they are the tallest breed of dogs, he would likely be much larger than even them.

The Tragedy of the Silmarillion (Noldolante)

Someone's impression of what Maglor's Noldolantë might have been about (using artwork instead of lyrics).

The timing of the music was so good though! I loved how that sinister organ music started up during the Angband stuff!

From the video description:

I have always thought that this theme (Davy Jones) would be very reminiscent of the Noldolante. So I put together a simple slideshow with fanart from the Tolkien community in order to see how well it really went. I don't own anything here and the editing is very basic. But I think the music, images, and Tolkien's story speak from themselves.

I focused mostly on scenes from the life of Makalaurë (Maglor) or scenes that he would have certainly heard about while he lived in Beleriand. So the theft of the silmarils, burning of the ships at Losgar, the death of Feanor, the rescue of Maedhros; the deaths of Fingolfin, Fingon, and Finrod; and Battle of Unnumbered Tears, the Fall of Gondolin, and more. Essentially, I wanted to create something like the Noldolante without having the composition.

Some nice art I've discovered lately!

Death of Amrod and Amras. This one got to me. 🥺

I really like this High King Fingon outfit/hairstyle!

Such pretty, calming Valinorian scenery.

And this one has become one of my very top favorites. Maedhros reunited with Nerdanel somehow.

Sons of Fëanor:😕😐

I've seen this before but not posted it for some reason, but it came up on my Pinterest feed just now, so here it is. My favorite Silm character and favorite LotR character in one picture! 🥺 They're meeting in Valinor, I guess.

I love whoever this person is that drew this!

From the same artist: the death of Fingon.

A very unique interpretation and depiction of Balrogs there, looking more like demons from some eerie children’s nightmare stories book. I can just hear them cackling and howling in their evil laughter! The watercolor also really adds an ominous vibrancy to the moment too, with the brighter colors, and there’s an energy coming from Fingon after he’s been struck.

and there’s an energy coming from Fingon after he’s been struck.

Presumably it's the white flame that came from his head after his helm was cloven.
