Presumably it's the white flame that came from his head after his helm was cloven.

Indeed. I always knew I was full of bright ideas. They were just waiting to be released. 🙃

The position of his body also carries movement with it too, as he appears to be in mid-fall from the powerful strike.

I guess these could go here now.
These are the Gandalf and Sauron done to my specifications for my Appendix in Jeb Smith's book by sketch artist Mihailo M. The intent, especially with Gandalf, was to make them a little closer to the text description.
... Gandalf, Servant of the Flame of Anor and Sauron, Lord and Slave of the Ring.
The observer will note everything about Gandalf and Sauron is intentionaly contrasted in the pictures.
Mihailo is doing Beorn for me at this time.

New art from wisesnail, who is quickly becoming one of my favorite Silm artists!

It looks to me like this might have been inspired by the famous Fallen Angel painting.

😍😍😍

I love these videos, but they’re so sad (especially the second one)!! 🥺

I find some sad pieces of media have a kind of serenity to them. So strangely, I feel more calm looking at these. 🤔

Lalaith and Turin. I guess Turin has too much darkness in his soul to keep flowers alive on his head! (Laurinalotë, don't go on Turin's head! @Glorfindel Goldtress )

I have a nickname for Túrin: the Unlucky Duckling.
He can't even turn into a Morgoth-slaying swan until the Dagor Dagorath...

Wow, stunning sketches! Your ability to design and shade is incredible, as is your attention to fine detail. Thank you for sharing!

A music video about Maeglin.

I love the expression on Maeglin's face when he and Idril are surrounded by fire. So sad and creepy at the same time.
