Earl and Doc:

Michael Kitchen and Foyles war are brilliant.Good idea.
@Deimos cited Alan Rickman as a British actor he hadn't known until his role in Sense and Sensibility, so I'll add one of my own -- Michael Kitchen, in the TV series Foyle's War, about a police detective during World War II. Very understated acting, much of it done with his eyes. It takes seeing an episode or two to appreciate fully, but a glimpse can be seen in this short clip from Episode 1:
The series garnered praise for its historical accuracy, by the way. It's currently being reaired on PBS in the States.
I had a dim recollection that I've seen a Goya artwork which resembles this iconic scene - maybe London or Madrid but I just can't remember. But searching online I found it though annoyingly the entry doesn't say where it is! It's typically dark.If I remember correctly the film was shot in Spain with some subtle references to Goya, Picasso, and Dali, like pots and pans hung on a wall to look like a silly face, painted clocks instead of real ones. And the many others I failed to notice.
You couldn't have taken a screenshot?Saw something oddly similar while on a Thor binge.
I'm not very good at taking pictures - Thor is wrapped in chains hanging before Surtur the fire giant.
