(Yes, I know it's about WW2, not WW1, but it's close enough)
I've actually never seen this! (I know, I know, people are probably getting ready to throw rotten tomatoes at me. But there's so many movies I have simply not seen.) It looks like a lot of fun, so maybe I'll have to give it a watch.I rewatched Labyrinth. Though it's been quite a while since the last time I saw it: I was a little kid. It was cool to see all the different scenes I vaguely remembered! Certainly an enjoyable watch. And now that I've seen it again, I do wonder whether it had some influence on my imagination and the type of things I like in stories.
That’s one of my favorite episodes, along with the video call one and Granny Mobile 😊. Muffin is my favorite lolI am currently watching Bluey every evening with my younger sister.
I think I may actually enjoy it more than she does.
COCONUTS HAVE WATER IN THEM
Don't judge.
True, because Mary Shelley is dead. Like, what were you expecting? Shelley can't come back and direct a movie about herself. And if the movie was exactly like the books, it wouldn't work out. A book is very different from a movie. You can't make a movie exactly like the books and that's just reality.I actually just watched the 2025 Frankenstein. I hated it personally. Like, it was too different from the book. LIKE INSANELY DIFFERENT, AND IT WASN'T A GOOD DIFFERENT. IDK i just rlly hated it for some reason. I didn't vibe with it.
OMG u r so annoying. That wasn't my point. im not mad bv of that. I dont' care if it wasn't exactly like the books. It just didn't vibe with me bc it was done badly. Like y is elizabeht in love with the monster. that was silly. like ridiculous.True, because Mary Shelley is dead. Like, what were you expecting? You will never be satisfied. Some could be handed the whole sky and still grumble at the clouds.

I love this adaptation. I rewatch it whenever I need to be cheered up.I'm currently rewatching Pride and Prejudice! I've watched it countless times and never seem to get tired of it 😂 View attachment 45943

Peter Jackson should take some lessons from Andrew Davies on how to adapt a book to the screen.
Yes, I saw that one after I saw P&P... and I thought it was very good too (just not as good as the Firth/Ehle P&P.)This is right up there too, at least for me.
I know there were criticisms that Emma Thompson was too old for the part, but that didn't bother me.
