Why wasn't Glorfindel included in the Lord of the Rings films?

My sister and I are sooo ticked off that Glorfindel wasn't in the movie. He saved
Frodo! Not Arwen!

Whoever agrees with me please reply!
I agree I have watched the movie a lot and all I can say is now that I have read the book what was P.J thinking Tolkien said it was Glorfindel and Arwen bearly got mentioned in the first book!!!!

When you say stuff like that it makes die hard book fans want to punch you in the face ok so omit the stories and the songs that they tell/sing omit the days of training and the months of sitting not only in rivendell but also the month of sitting on their buts in lothlorion skip the feasting forget about the fact that they walked for 4 days in moria forget that it took a week to reach the forest of lothlorion forget that it took another week just to make it to the city at the heart of the woods forget about the fact frodo bore a shard of the witch kings blade in his shoulder for 17 days before reaching imladris forget that Aragorn got lost on the way to imladris ALL of that stuff is in the book for a reason and I get how that stuff doesn't all fit into the movie but for the love of sanity Glorfindel rescued frodo NOT Arwen

or Aragorn his personality is mistchivius when u first meet him in the book

... not to mention that PJ decimated Aragorn's whole backstory since he didn't even mention the Northern Kingdom at all. There is no reason for him to "choose exile" if the proper story was told.
... and it wouldn't of been that hard to have added it to the movie storyline. PJ could have easily worked it in, had Glorfindel in the movie, and have expanded Arwen's role as part of a fanfic.
... 'how' you ask? Have Aragorn and Halbarad at the Prancing Pony having a brief conversation setting the Northern Kingdom, have Glorfindel meet Aragorn and the Hobbits and take the wounded Frodo for a ride, and have Arwen join her brothers in their ride south with the Dunedain Rangers.

I like u you expressed my feelings exactly

Also they never even mentioned the twins

"Forgive" my curmudgeonly snarl, but wasn't the huge mass of posts of the time "perpetrated" by teenie film geeks? Not surprisingly, I would add ...

Yes, Erestor was mentioned at the Council of Elrond. He asked whether Tom Bombadil would take the Ring or not. Then at the end of ROTK, he accompanied Arwen to Mina's Tirith.
