With the ministry of Paul the Apostle?
I think reason i trust Mel Gibson is he did a exceptionally good job with Passion of the Christ movie. What makes this so different from other Christian movies. Is other Christian movies, is never taking it all in. Its almost like a cheapened way to tell about the biblical event "While i dont mind it being taught, it also can be seen as a disservice to what it really was like"
I also liked how the devil isnt a big horned angry guy (Which in pop culture is often how satan or devil is seen as), but thats not how the biblical devil is. Devil is just the face of corruption or malice influence. Someone who seeps into something as a destructive force. Both interms of influence and rebellion.
But most of all, reason i really liked it. Is, its a work of art. It feels like something you can see in a renaissance painting. And it also explains why Jesus died so quickly on the cross. So the violence was so violent to showcase that, not to make it look all pretty, but to just showcase what it was both emotionally and realistically was like, for a person to truly die for us. Even to the point at the almost end of the movie. Where Mary is holding Jesus, and is looking at the camera.
Certain things like this. Is what makes this my favorite Christian movie, but also my favorite religious movie of all time!
