Are you fan of Charlie Sheen

I can have no opinion about Charlie Sheen one way or another.
All I know of him is what I have seen him portray on screen - that is, what his acting is like.
That is not the man.
All I know about Charlie Sheen (and most others) is what the tabloids, news, and other sources present - which are all skewed by their peronal agendas and objectives.

If I knew the man personally, and had intimately seen and understood his life as it actually unfolded, I might be able to formulate an opinion of him.

It is difficult to be a 'fan' of something when "ignorance" (that is, lack of knowing,) is the basis upon which judgment is to be made.

(side note - I've no clue what this particular post is doing on a Tolkien forum. I can find no connection, tangential or otherwise.)

He is a great figure for representing what happens when fame and Hollywood lifestyle lead a person into a twisted and corrupted path. No judgement on him as a person, as I think he (like many stars) is a victim of that insane world of super-fame. I liked him in a few movies, and my parents loved watching Two and a Half men when that show first started. He is great in Hot Shots.

And according to his rant when he went off the deep-end, he has tiger's blood! "Winning!"

Unfortunately, and not to start a big argument, but I personally can't concur with this particular part.
We all have our temptations, and we all have our choices.
And we're responsible for those choices... no one and no thing else is.

Unless there is some truly medical reason distorting the synaptic responses and conditions of the mind and its working, there is no excuse available.

So.. he may be a 'victim of a medical condition'.... but not a victim of that environment or social system...except by choice.

(In other words, I can't buy into the 'victim mentality' so prominent in the world today. We're only a victim by choice. Or, we're the maste rof our circumstances by choice. Not that the circumstances aren't real, there, and/or truly happen... it's what we choose to do with and about them that matters. Crumple and fall, or rise and conquer. Choice.)

HA!... Bravo Mister Ent! (Not to be confused with Mister Ed....Wilbur) you beat me to it.
The situations in which one can claim to be a victim -- i.e, not responsible for one's actions or one's "fate" - are vanishingly small.

I can take him or leave him. He was good in the movie 'Platoon'. This pertains to his work as an actor, not him personally. Like anyone, he, and anyone else in 'the business' are human and make both good and bad decisions in their lives. It personally to me is none of my business. That goes for Charlie Sheen, Amber Heard, Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom... and so on. Entertainment and social media tends to like making a big deal over what 'celebrities' do and think publicizing their lives for us is doing us a favor in some way.
