Narsil Tattoo Translation Help

Ok good deal, I appreciate it - this definitely makes things clearer to the unpracticed eye.

I'm not sure if this is against any rules/guidelines, but is there any way you might be able to post the correctly translated lines so that I can copy/paste them and form them into a circle? It is very important to me to get this right, and if I can get the correct translation into a circular design around Narsil that's 80% of the battle for me.
I can try to line them up in a circle for you if that is an issue. Avaro naeth!

That would be absolutely amazing!! I'm clueless when it comes to digital design and only have the Microsoft Office apps on my work laptop at hand - I'm blown away by your guys' help! If I can get the correct text into that circular format I'm almost at the finish line :)

Of course. I couldn't quite fit the last line, but I will make the circle a bit larger and try again. This is what I have done so far:

Just be patient with me. I will make one that is larger in this format soon. The tools I am using are a bit difficult to navigate. Alternatively -- I might also write it out for you, just as a back-up method in case I cannot get the alignment right. I will finish it, it just may take a little while.

I've done it a couple more times. It always comes just a bit over, but I did in a two-layer look to make it seem purposeful. And another:

And another:

I will try to do a written version soon. Hoping it fits your idea.

Still just on the cusp. Like 3 words over. I'll try to blow up the image and work on a bigger format. Here was my result from the past try:

I will also try to do the written one. It will probably work, but since my Elvish penmanship may not be the most incredible-- I beg mercy.

Here is the drawn version:

I might try to draw Narsil in the center to give you an idea of how the finished product might turn out.

I'll also retry the digital version a couple times and see if I can get it to line up.

Done! The art skills might not be incredible, but here it is-- just to give you a vision of how the finished product could look:

As I have said before on here, I think, my free-hand drawing skills are far from impeccable, so apologies if it does not meet satisfaction.

Wow these are incredible, I can't thank you enough!! I wish I could just work with you as my tattoo artist :) I never thought I would receive this much help!

I'm not sure if this might make it easier, but if you're able to create that text with the circular design and a slight opening for the blade I should be able to overlay it on Narsil. I've narrowed down the 3 images I like the best, and I'm thinking if I can lay the line of the circle over it and then the text around it connecting to the circle the design would come together.

As another option, If you're able to send me the translated script in a way that I can copy and paste it, I would probably be able to convert it into the circle shape on my end.

These are my 3 finalists for the Narsil portion (I would have the branches in the background as opposed to sprouting out of the hilt in all 3 cases):

Of course! All I ask is that you consider staying on the Forum. I see so many people come for tattoo help and leave. The reality is, if you love Tolkien's works, particularly The Lord of the Rings enough to get a tattoo of it, this Forum is precisely the place for you, and you will enjoy it a lot.

I should be able to do that. I can try to make it over lay an image also, seeing that some of those images might allow for me to better make it work, on a larger format of course.

I am not sure that would be doable. Copying and pasting Elvish doesn't really work that well. I'm waiting for computers to come out with Elvish keyboards-- but I've yet to see a single one.

They all look great. I fully understand that, It is a little odd sprouting from the hilt, clearly not accurate to the story.

I finally got the formatting to work with the full text in a circle:

Does this meet your expectations? I can do it again-- but I would need to know what you are displeased with about it.

If this good, then wonderful! I sure hope your tattoo turns out well, it is a cool design.

Oh absolutely! I've just finished reading Tolkien and The Great War and A Hobbit, A Wardrobe, And A Great War and fully intend to explore discussions of them on this forum, amongst other topics - definitely a great find and I appreciate the hospitality!

The above is wonderful, and oh so close!! The difficult part for me is that for the tattoo design, the script would need to be in a perfect circle - I'm honestly shocked that I've looked through hundreds of images on the internet, Pinterest, etc. and every single one has the Black Speech around Narsil. Is there no image like the attached with the correct transcription of the From the ashes a fire shall be woken poem out there?!?! It's wild to me that somehow they're ALL in the language of Mordor -

If I just had an image like the attached with the correct transcription I would be set for the tattoo, or even just a black circle with the script connected like the second attached image, but this is apparently impossible to find - unless I'm missing images that might be in this forum or elsewhere???

I'm glad you plan to stay! I will work on a perfect circle version for you.

I think these are pretty much a perfect circle.

Oh WOW this is perfect!!!!!! I will be printing this off at my office ASAP and using it as the bedrock for my tattoo design - I can't thank you enough!!! I'm so glad I was able to find experts like yourself to ensure that I have the correct translation - having just read Tolkien's biography, I feel like anything less than an authentic translation would have been a disservice to his work. And now the aesthetic aspect of the design is coming together as well! Thanks so much once again :) :)

I am so glad! Perfect. Don't forget to show a finished product! (You don't have to but you can if you would like) I'm so glad I could help you. It is always important to verify with people who know Elvish, and to seek second opinions on things like this. You were wise to do both! I am looking forward to seeing all of your posts and activity on the Forum! Of course!
