What a happy find.
"The Later Silmarillion" Part 1 - HoME Vol. 10, Morgoth's Ring
"The Later Silmarillion" Part 2 - HoME Vol. 11, The War of the Jewels and:
The Peoples of Middle Earth, HoME Vol. 12

All will be released on 6/13/2023 in Kindle format. Quick research will now available to Nerds as may be desired.
Ent has pre-ordered.

Any Samsung tablet, iPad, etc. will run them, allow searches, etc. Computers too... which is where the fastest work can be done (with multiple screens, especially). Just download the Kindle app.
Oh, it’s just an app? I always thought Kindle was a device, a tablet of its own. I may very well have to check it out, then! Though, as convenient as it is to have these books digital, and I’ve read many in such a format before, nothing beats the feel of a real book in your hands, and flipping through the pages. But I digress...

Agreement...! Each, however, has its place. For 'reading' - even deep 'thinking' reading - give Ent a tree-based product... (hopefully made from one already dead, or perhaps recycled.) For research, give Ent digital..!

Yes, the app is a free app. the books themselves, however, are not of course.

Are paperback copies difficult to find? 😳
Sir SeS - No, they are not at all difficult to find.
They range from about $65.00 to $500.00 used. (not kidding. common prices $100 - $135. hardbacks same.)
Thus Ent sees an $11.99 digital copy as a real steal at this time.

I'd recommend monitoring sale sites like ebay, though it's admittedly time-consuming to keep checking. Also used bookstores, donation stores like Goodwill, library sales, flea markets, and yard sales -- those last two can be more hobby, I confess. 😄

My hardcover 12 (and maybe 11) were gifts, but the rest came from used bookstores. For instance, I found I, II, IV, and V at a bookstore in Madison Wisconsin for $35 for the set. And a store in Frederick Maryland had stacks of Volume III. This was in the 90s, but copies are still out there, so don't give up.

I can't even find any copies in English here, and it has yet to be translated
Checking the German Wikipedia, the situation hasn't changed for years if not decades.
"The Book of Lost Tales" volumes 1 and 2 were translated, but they threw in the towel with "The Lays of Beleriand". Poetry is between fiendishly difficult and impossible to translate.

Into Ent's digital library this morning. Now all HoME'd up digitally as well as in dead tree version.
