Hi new member here. I have a question. Does anyone know the last verse of the Song of Beren and Luthien in its original writings, perhaps in Tengwar, Quenya or Sindarin? Or if there isn't does anyone can translate the last verse only into correct elvish writings? I need it to make a drawings. Many thanks!

Hi, welcome to the forum!

In the LOTR where it appears, it would have been sung in Westron, which isn't an actual language that Tolkien developed, just what was supposed to be the "common tongue" during LOTR. Presumably the "full" original song would have been in Quenya. Tengwar is the alphabet that the Quenya would have been written with.

Tolkien had an unfinished attempt at a full version of the tale called the Lay of Leithian, which I think the Song from the LOTR is supposed to be originated from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lay_of_Leithian.

I have no ability to translate it, but I would be interested in seeing it if someone did! I know Tolkien translated small sections of his poetry at times into Quenya, so I wonder if someone could find a section of the Lay of Leithian that he would have translated.
