Bókin um Bibliuna ''The Book about the Bible''.

Of course, she was a great writer.Mansfield Park (again)
Factoid: both JRRT and CSL read, and liked, Jane Austen.
Thank you for posting this, and especially your observation. It prompted me to look up the story. The Machine Stops by E. M. Forster. I still can't believe this was written in 1909 - over a hundred years ago. It is uncanny how well it predicts our addiction to devices.
I hate the word fair. Life doesn't discriminate between the sinners and the saints, it takes and it takes and it takes, and we keep living anyway,"Fairness." (Sniff) Really?
What about 'Life isn't fair?' I never thought I'd get Bag End after all!
Decided to give this a read. Index below.

As I read some of your other posts, there seems to be a number of things you hate. (sniff)I hate the word fair.
"You know, I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them? So, now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe." Marcus Cole, Babylon 5"Fairness." (Sniff) Really?
