What happened to 🧙radagast?

bellum armterid [inter filios elifer et guendoleu filium keidiau; in quo bello guendoleu cecidit; merlinus insanus effectus est.]

"Gwendeling" was an earlier name for Melian. So there are two Maiar, under aliases, still bopping around the British Isles at the time of that nebulous dux bellorum that would later be called Arthur?

The battle of Arfderydd between the sons of Eliffer and Gwenddolau son of Ceidio; in which battle Gwenddolau fell; Merlin went mad.

Tut, tut, tut ...
Besides morphing the avatar like Sauron did when Huan had him by the butt, the (once again) betied cat doth severely edit (or delete old and post new) posts.
I think I'll have to open a subfolder in my e-mail thingy "Thunderbird" to archive all of E(A)'s posts that reach me per e-mail. 😜

Let's see: Ben & Jerry opened that first ice cream parlor in a renovated gas station in downtown Burlington, Vermont, in 1978. The Wiki articles doesn't go into specifics as to when they opened other locations where. Now they didn't have to use a horse-drawn covered wagon to get to the west coast. But I'm thinking that California, which is just swarming with colleges and universities, would be a preferred location to leapfrog to. So we can probably assume that R. opened his place some time in the very late Sixth Age (btw, the sale of Ben & Jerry's to that British-Dutch conglomerate Unilever in 2000 is another of those strong hints that we now live in the Seventh Age). But if R. still has that bird's nest under his hat, hygiene regulations would certainly prohibit him from being in the kitchen / storage area (or whatever facilities of that sort a Ben & Jerry's might have).

Thanks to whoever puts together The Tolkien Forum Newsletter for the heads up!

Glad it helps! It automatically pulls the most active threads and lets choose which to include. I try to include anything other than translation requests and new member threads since they're more one-timers vs. threads that have ongoing discussions. It's not a perfect program for the newsletter but it gets the job done. Credit to mazzly for setting it up initially.

I kind of decided to give the detailed links a pass. You can catch hell (erm - of course only if caught "in the act" ...) if you do not remove the poo your pooch must by necessity relieve him/herself of with special baggies. I think the only exception is if you've got Fido so potty-trained as to poo exactly on sewer grates - which has special challenges for owners of Chihuahuas and Yorkshire Terriers. Not that the tots would fall between the bars of the grates, but they would definitely be nervous to panicky about walking on top of something to them seriously unnerving.
'Frisco. Cable cars. Didn't they figure in that ancient crime series starring Karl Malden and some second-generation actor whose dad recently died at age 103? Perhaps in the intro?
Very steep streets. So authorities are speculating on this steepness, along with rain (rain? in California?? 😳 ) to take care of this by natural means?
Truly, the oddest, strangest people get elected ...
