Very hard to pick. I'm either a Dwarf or a Noldo. Or maybe I'm a Noldo who gets along well with Dwarves? (It would fit well with Curufin, anyway, since he apparently learned some of the Dwarves' language...)
In the end, I think I will have to go with Elf. I'm too mischievous to be a Dwarf (in general they're quite solemn people), and I like wordplay too much.

My tastes and aesthetic preferences most closely align with the Elves' for sure, particularly that of the Noldor. I love linguistics, textile arts, singing and so forth. And I love the refined elegance of Elvish architecture and clothing, and even their fighting style. I put a lot of thought and effort into my dress and style, with my goal being to carry a very elegant aesthetic and look put together with my hair and makeup. With my creative tendencies, I think I'd be a Noldo (especially given their tendencies to wreck things with their emotional problems!)

I'd be the shortest Elf you've ever seen in your life, though!

Here's another poll you can vote in -- been going on for a couple of decades now. 😄

(I'm still sticking with hobbit, BTW 😉)

Is Ninja Cat a thing in Tolkien?

This may contain: a black cat in a blue coat and hat is standing on the street with its eyes wide open

. . . I will also go with elf, to no ones surprise.

Main reason being that I tend to want to slow down and take my time with . . . everything. A human lifespan is far to short! I need thousands of years to get everything I want to do accomplished 🤣.

Another thing I actually really love about Tolkien elves is how emotional they are (obviously, my boy Maglor being sad for the rest of time, but there are other examples). I'm pretty sensitive and tend to feel a lot on both negative and positive sides of the spectrum, It's kind of embarrassing, but if the cool elf people can be over-emotional at times then I can too, right? It's kinda comforting, though it feels a little odd to say the immortal supernatural beings are relatable 😂

Plus they are also cool and pretty and interesting and fun and silly and--

You know what, yeah I relate to all of this too!

I'd say I'm mostly Elf. I'm really into literature and stories and poetry, and I like writing fantasy. I also really enjoy making things with my hands (knitting, perler beads, making toy furniture for my sister ect.), and most Elves are craftsmen, so I guess that fits? I really, really like the stars, although maybe that's because I don't get to see them often (too hazy and too much light pollution where I live). I also sometimes use superglue on my ears to make them look elven (when I'm cosplaying). There are definetely some Hobbit aspects about me, though. I have an odd fondness for mushrooms.

I think I fit Hobbit best. I don't feel like I need to do great deeds, but I find comfort in being useful to the world in modest ways. I like to eat, and have multiple meals throughout the day, and I'll happily do second breakfasts, whether it's breakfast for lunch or breakfast for dinner.

Although I think I would probably be one of the more disreputable ones, regarded as queer. While I like nature, I'm not much of a gardener. So I would happily walk in the woods and fields, but I probably wouldn't plant anything. I don't do pipe weed, but if coffee craving counts as a modern equivalent, I'll take it if allowed. I would be one of the ones who loves stories more than one should, especially really old tales, and love the idea of adventure, without necessarily wanting to go on an adventure.

I wouldn't be one of the farming Hobbits, more of a clerical, bookish one. I might have reverence for the Elves and casual interest in their history, legends, and language, yet it wouldn't be to the extent of translating Elvish to the Westron.
