Kings of Durin's Folk

The King of Durin's Folk is the High King of the Dwarves of Durin or Longbeards. Durin's Folk is the clan that succeeded from one of the seven ancient forefathers of the Dwarves named Durin. They founded and originally lived in Khazad-dûm, the glorious kingdom of old, where they reigned for millennia. But in TA 1980, as the Dwarves expend the mines of Khazad-dûm, they awakened the Balrog, which forced them to abandon their majestic halls. The Dwarves of Durin established new settlements and realms in other lands and mountains. These include the kingdom under the Mountain (also Erebor or Lonely Mountain), Ered Luin or the Blue Mountains, and Ered Mithrin or the Blue Mountains.
