Squirluman The White, outside my window last year.
I do not meddle in his affairs, for he is subtle and quick to anger.

That is amazing...I've never seen a "polar" squirrel before.
What country (or state) do you live in?

Hey folks... I don't really have a tarantula. (That is a stock photo. )
It was intended as a little joke .....😁😁😁
What I really have is ...this: A Rabbit of Rhosgobel

I am in St. Louis, Missouri.
I had never seen a white squirrel until this one arrived a year or two ago.
Apparently, there is a town at the other side of the state which is known for its white squirrels:

I'm originally from St Louis (Florissant actually)...l left when I was 19.
I had never seen a white squirrel in those first 19 years and had never seen one on any visits I made in later years.
Not only that, no family or friends have ever mentioned seeing them.
I still thinks it's amazing 🙂

Well I've seen photos and videos but I've never seen a wild one ...they do live in a large area in Zagros mountains in my country but I've never been there
They are not always in urban environments in the US... depends on climate and if there are a lot of trees.
Here in the desert we have ground squirrels...they live in.... (wait for it ).... the ground 😁, in burrows.

Mostly I see the round tailed ground squirrel. They remind me of chipmunks.

I'm very lucky... I live 2 miles south of the Pima Indian reservation (and I will say it right now that I'm not a fan of putting Native Americans on reservations, but it was done 'way before my time.) the Rez is open desert which continues north until it meets the National Forest.
20 miles east of me is the boundary of more National Forest land so all that is open and undeveloped (and always will be).
And just a 100 yards north of me in the neighborhood is about 4 acres that is still zoned for livestock, so I walk up the street and see a few goats and cows and horses and chickens. Kind of cool to still have that in the fastest growing county in the US (Maricopa county AZ).

Wow that's really cool
The nearest forest like thing to me is the national botanical gardens, it's really beautiful but it's not natural and all the trees there are pretty young
But there's like trees from all around the world so it's still cool

They say it's a small world...but this is ridiculous. I grew up in Hazelwood and lived in Florissant for several years!
Hazelwood West, Class of '83. Go Wildcats!

Its interesting you don't get squirrels the in the city, in Cape Town (which is the only place I've seen squirrels) there are loads of them.

Wow...I lived about a mile from the Halls Ferry/140 intersection.

So you know about McCluer and McCluer North High schools (which I did not attand)... I went to a Catholic HS up the road from McCluer.
Also did you know Colin Firth (Kingsman) attended one of the Hazelwood High Schools for a year? (Don't know which one tho').
