Hahaha, so true! I have to be careful about how in-depth I go in explaining things, depending on who it is I’m talking to. My brother has read LOTR, TH, and Silm, but he doesn’t have as big of an obsession with it as I do. When I start rambling on about details and implications of characters, family trees, and events, especially from Silm, his eyes glaze over and he calls me a Nerd.🤣🤓

The other day I was explaining to my bestie how Fëanor was born and what happened to Miriel afterwards.
I don't know if it was how I told the story or she was just her usual idiotic self but she started laughing and said and I quote:
