Hi!

I would really like to get some help with translating two phrases into Quenya. Have no experience with Quenya at all, but I tried using some dictionaries to translate it. CAn you please help me or at least check how my translation look like? ;)

Life is simple. You make choices and you never look back. (That's what I want to have but due to lack of some words my translation is a lil different, tho still has the same meaning... hopefully)
---> Coivië ná (or ëa) uhranga. Carilyë cilmei ar lá lumissen nanelailyë.

2nd person subject (-lyë) would certainly be understood by all English-speaking readers of Neo-Quenya, but it would be more idiomatic for a Quenya-type language (e.g., Finnish) to use a 3rd person subject for these "explanatory assertion" type phrases.

Trying to find a translation for "never" can also be averted here IMHO.

Mo/Quén carë (i) cilmi ar ua tirë cana.

or perhaps rather

Orë mon carë (i) cilmi ar lau titíra cana. "One is to [= should, orë] make (the) choices and not keep glancing [frequentative verb] behind-wards."

(compare the struck-out entry nattire and other ways to translate "to look" in Tolkien's late notes published in PE17)
