Seeking Help: Does "Erunámo" Correspond to "Daniel" in Quenya?

Hello! Reaching out to this lovely community for some help.

I would like to translate my name "Daniel" into Quenya and then tattoo the Tengwar script onto my arm. I've read on the forum that "Daniel" in Quenya is "Erunámo" and that the Tengwar script looks like the image attached.

Could someone please confirm this for me? If either the Quenya (Daniel = Erunámo) or the script attached is incorrect, could you help me by correcting it or pointing me in the right direction?

Any help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance! This will be my first tattoo so I'm eager and excited.

Generally speaking Elhath knows his stuff. Ales Bican does too, and in his Quenya Baby Name book he writes:

DANIEL (m.) - Heb. 'Gof is my judge'; Eru "God"; námo "judge", thus Erunámo

Although I'm guessing he meant "God" not "Gof" in the first instance. And I'm an idiot, but I would go with the second example (as Elhath advised in the linked thread), illustrating the long a, thus the example you've shown here.

Elthir

Also, if you are unsure that is, regarding pronunciation, the primary stress here is: erunAmo

As the vowel a is long (which means prolonging the same sound), a long vowel in the second to the last syllable attracts the primary stress, unlike in lEgolas (short vowel in second to last syllable).

Amazing. Such a speedy and knowledgeable answer! Thank you @Elthir.

So to confirm, "Daniel" translated into Neo-Quenya is "Erunámo" and is written as displayed in the two attachments? Would you recommend I rather transcribe my name phonetically? I assume it's up to preference.

Excuse me if this comes off as me asking you to repeat yourself. I just hope to be confident going into my first tattoo session.

Yes these two are phine ;) in my opinion.

I'd just make sure, if you use the second example/font, that the u-tehta is "more" (or noticeably) above the preceding consonant, which is usual for writing Quenya -- and (obviously) is found in the rest of your example (excepting the initial vowel of course, which needs a carrier, having no consonant available).

Although I guess it (u-tehta over preceding consonant) would be assumed to be so anyway, given the full example, and the style involved, so that's probably not necessary, and a bit pedantic.

Again, my opinions anyway!

I just edited in a couple things in my last post, in case you missed it.

Originally I mistakenly wrote "o-tehta" for "u-tehta" too!

Brilliant! Thank you again. Knowing that I received community feedback ahead of this big decision makes it that much more special. I'm grateful you shared your opinion. Excited to explore this forum!
