  • Gwaihir, the Winglord, also called the Lord of the Eagles, sent by Galadriel, finds Gandalf. He carries him to Caras Galadhon. There Gandalf is healed and clad in white clothes. He becomes Gandalf the White.

  • The Fellowship gets split.

  • Rohirrim goes against Saruman on horses, as Saruman puts up an invasion of all his forces directed against Rohan.
  • The Second Battle of the Fords of Isen takes place.
  • The defeat of Erkenbrand takes place.
  • Saruman and Isengard issues are decided upon, as the Entmoot comes to an end on that afternoon.

  • Gandalf and Theoden head to Isengard from Helm's Deep.
  • Gollum, Sam, and Frodo get to the Slag-mounds, which borders the forsaken area of Morannon.

  • By noon, Gandalf and Theoden get to Isengard and get into discussions concerning the war at Orthanc.
  • At Dol Baran camp, Nazgul can be seen flying overhead.

  • Theoden leaves for Harrowdale from Hornburg, and Aragon follows later.

  • The Muster of Rohan commences, and they move from Harrowdale riding.
  • Faramir is rescued by Gandalf on the outskirts of the gates of the city.

  • Forces from Morannon capture Cair Andros and go into Anorien.
  • Frodo sees the Morgul-host moving out of Mordor after getting past the crossroads in Mordor.

  • An invasion happens to the east of Rohan that descends from the north.
  • Lothlorien gets attacked for the first time.

  • The Causeway Fort gets abandoned by Faramir.
  • Theoden shelters beneath the Min-Rimmon.

  • Those that invaded Rohan are taken out by the Ents.

  • Frodo gets captured by Cirith Ungol's Orcs.
  • The enemy overruns the Pelennor Fields.
  • Faramir almost dies from his wounds.
  • Aragon takes the enemy forces captive at Pelargir.
  • The armies of Theoden go inside the Druadan Forest.

  • Sam discovers Frodo inside the Tower of Cirith Ungol. Minas Tirith is taken over by the enemy.
  • The Rohirrim and King Theoden get guided to Grey Wood through Stonewain Valley by the Dunedain.

  • The Hobbits get apprehended at Frogmorton.

  • Saruman gets killed by Grima Wormtongue and gets taken out by Hobbit archers.
  • The West rejects Saruman's spirit, and it disappears.
  • The War of the Ring ends.

Unidentified month

  • Eowyn gets married to Faramir.
  • The Shire gets scourged. Then Frodo takes Will Whitfoot's place as the Shire's acting Deputy Mayor for a short time.
