- Upon reaching Frogmorton, their enemies capture the Hobbits.
- The Hobbits go towards Bywater, they call and gather the rest of the Shire's Hobbits.

- Gríma Wormtongue murders Saruman. Then, the Hobbits shoot and kill Gríma with their arrows.
- The Undying Land declines Saruman's soul, and it vanishes forever.
